East Alvarado Historic District

East Alvarado Map

The boundaries of East Alvarado Historic District are: Oak on the north to Alvarado on the south, just west of 7th Street to 3rd Street.

Begun in 1929, several East Alvarado neighborhood homes exhibit the Early Ranch or Minimal Traditional style. Although the neighborhood showcases architectural styles ranging from French Provincial to Monterey Revival, East Alvarado serves as a witness in the architectural transition of the Phoenix neighborhoods to “suburban ranch.”
