The boundaries of Medlock Place Historic District are: Missouri to the north, Camelback to the south, Central Avenue to 7th Avenue.
The Medlock Place neighborhood was dominated by fruit orchards, fields, and a few farmhouses until 1926. Its rural character is evidenced by spacious lots with a full spectrum of architectural styles. Now, with the commercial growth along Central Avenue, the neighborhood has become a desirable urban hood, walking distance to Postino’s, Joy Ride, Federal Pizza, Windsor, etc. as well as the newly renovated Uptown Plaza.
