Villa Verde Historic District

Villa Verde Map

The boundaries of the Villa Verde Historic District are: Monte Vista to the north, Granada to the south, 19th Avenue to 21st Avenue.

The Villa Verde neighborhood’s chief architect was Frank Wallace, who designed more than 80% of the homes here. His concept was to create an English-Cottage-style neighborhood, with each quaint home having individual architectural touches. Villa Verde contains the largest concentration of Cotswold-style homes in Phoenix. The area was developed from 1928 through 1940 and there are 105 cozy homes, each about 900 square feet.
